Originally from Nottingham, I moved from there to Edinburgh in 1991
after completing my degree in graphic design at
Nottingham Trent University.
After working for two of Scotland’s leading design agencies I became a
freelance illustrator in 1993.
Since then I’ve worked for many major advertising and design agencies,
magazines and newspapers, such as the following:
| |
Radio Times |
Saatchi’s
|
|
| |
Property Ladder |
Hong Kong Telecom
|
|
| |
Sunday Telegraph |
Australian Tourist Board |
|
| |
Daily Express |
G2G3 |
|
| |
Scotland on Sunday |
BBC Education |
|
| |
The Scotsman |
Edinburgh Fringe |
|
I’ve also had over 200 greetings card designs published.
In 2004, I began illustrating Russell T Davies’ Production Notes column in
Doctor Who Magazine (a monthly diary of behind the scenes work on
the series) and have been doing so ever since.
And in 2008, I started work on regular commissions for BBC Magazines’
Doctor Who Adventures comic for younger fans. For this I create
illustrations for puzzles and articles, plus many icons for use in the comic
and on free gifts.
